Guidance · Strength · Hope
You don't have to navigate this journey alone.
Cancer can change so much, so quickly. Hope & Strength Coaching provides personalized, whole-person support to help you feel more grounded, prepared, supported, and confident through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, or caregiving.
Cancer can change so much. You still deserve a space that is centered on you.

Compassionate Support
A space where your experience can be heard without judgment.
Practical Whole-Person Guidance
Support for everyday routines, priorities, wellness, and the things that matter to you.
Alongside Your Medical Team
Coaching complements — and never replaces — your medical care.
If This Is Where You Are …
There is space here for what you're carrying.
A cancer diagnosis can affect far more than appointments and treatment plans. It can change your routines, relationships, confidence, energy, identity, and the way the future feels.
Recently Diagnosed
You may be overwhelmed by everything you have just learned and unsure what comes next.
Going Through Treatment
Appointments may address your medical care while leaving you wanting additional support for everyday life, stress, routines, and wellbeing.
Moving Into Survivorship
Treatment may be ending while questions about identity, routines, confidence, wellbeing, and the future are only beginning.
Supporting Someone You Love
You may be trying to stay strong for someone else while carrying your own stress, uncertainty, and responsibilities.
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
How I Support You
Support for the whole person — not just the diagnosis.
Coaching provides a private space to slow down, identify what matters most, build realistic wellness habits, and create practical next steps that fit your life.
Emotional Steadiness
A supportive place to talk through the everyday emotions, uncertainty, and changes that can accompany cancer or caregiving.
Wellness & Healthy Routines
Gentle support around movement, hydration, rest, stress management, nutrition habits, sleep, and sustainable routines appropriate to your circumstances.
Clarity & Preparation
Organize priorities, identify questions, and prepare topics you may want to discuss with your oncology or healthcare team.
Accountability & Encouragement
Create realistic actions, track progress, celebrate meaningful milestones, and have a steady source of encouragement between sessions.
Who I Support

For people moving beyond active treatment who want support rebuilding routines, confidence, identity, purpose, and everyday wellbeing.

1999
Where it began — personal training
My passion for helping others live healthier, stronger lives began in 1999 when I started my career as a personal trainer. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, helping them build confidence, improve their health, and achieve goals they once thought were impossible. Those early experiences taught me that true wellness extends far beyond physical fitness — it requires compassion, encouragement, education, and someone who genuinely believes in you.

2016 — Present
Into radiation oncology · UCLA → Kaiser Permanente
Wanting to make an even greater impact in healthcare, I pursued a career in Radiation Oncology, earning my Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy. I began my professional career at UCLA (09/2016–05/2018), where I developed a strong clinical foundation while caring for patients undergoing cancer treatment. I later joined Kaiser Permanente (06/2017–present), where I have proudly served as a Radiation Therapist ever since.
Throughout my career, I have had the honor of walking alongside thousands of individuals facing one of the most difficult journeys of their lives. I've witnessed incredible resilience, courage, hope, and determination in patients and their families. Those experiences have shaped not only the healthcare professional I am today but also the coach I have become.
-
A turning point
When cancer became personal
While my professional experience has been invaluable, nothing prepared me for cancer becoming deeply personal.
When my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer, I suddenly found myself on the other side of healthcare — not as the clinician, but as the daughter and caregiver. I stood beside her through appointments, treatments, difficult conversations, uncertainty, and the emotional roller coaster that cancer brings. I experienced firsthand the fear, exhaustion, and helplessness that families often carry, while also learning the incredible importance of having someone who can offer support, guidance, and hope.
That journey transformed me.
It reinforced everything I had learned throughout my career while giving me a much deeper understanding of what patients and caregivers truly need beyond medical treatment. Cancer affects every aspect of life — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. I realized there was a gap between receiving excellent medical care and having someone to help navigate the everyday challenges that come with a diagnosis.

Today
Why Hope & Strength
That realization inspired me to create Hope & Strength Coaching.
My mission is to provide compassionate, personalized coaching for individuals navigating cancer, survivorship, and caregiving. I combine over two decades of experience in health and fitness with years of clinical oncology experience to help clients build strength, regain confidence, reduce overwhelm, and move forward with hope.
As a coach, I don't replace your medical team or provide medical advice. Instead, I serve as a supportive partner who helps you navigate the emotional and practical challenges of your journey while empowering you to make sustainable lifestyle choices that support your overall well-being.
I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered — regardless of where they are in their cancer journey. Whether you're newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, transitioning into survivorship, or caring for someone you love, my goal is to help you find hope, discover your strength, and move forward one step at a time.
Because sometimes the most powerful healing begins with knowing you don't have to walk the journey alone.

Client Words
A reminder of your strength.
"During treatment, I felt defeated. Before my diagnosis, I had always thought of myself as strong — I had even completed the Los Angeles Marathon with my daughter. Vineca reminded me of the courage it took to cross that finish line and helped me see that strength was still part of who I was. Thank you for reminding me that I'm a warrior, a fighter, a winner, and a marathoner. I will always hold a special place in my heart for you."— Former radiation therapy patient, shared with permission
Frequently Asked Questions
Questions before you reach out?
What is cancer coaching?
Cancer coaching provides personalized education, encouragement, accountability, practical wellness guidance, and a supportive space for people affected by cancer. It can help clients organize priorities, build sustainable habits, manage everyday challenges, and identify practical next steps.
It does not diagnose or treat cancer.
Who is cancer coaching for?
Hope & Strength supports people who have recently been diagnosed, people actively going through treatment, people moving into survivorship, caregivers, and family members affected by cancer.

No.
Coaching complements your healthcare team. Vineca does not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, change treatment plans, or replace the care of your oncologist, physician, dietitian, therapist, or other licensed healthcare professional.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching focuses primarily on present-day goals, routines, accountability, education, practical strategies, and forward movement.
It is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.
Visitors experiencing significant mental-health concerns should be encouraged to work with an appropriate licensed mental-health professional.
What happens during the free consultation?

What happens during a coaching session?
Sessions are personalized around your goals and may include reflection, discussion of current challenges, wellness routines, practical planning, accountability, resources, and identification of realistic next steps.
Are sessions virtual?

Do you work with caregivers and family members?
Yes.
Hope & Strength Coaching can support caregivers and family members affected by a loved one's cancer journey.
What if coaching is not the right fit?
If your needs fall outside the scope of coaching, Vineca may recommend that you contact your medical team or another appropriately qualified professional.
Coaching should only continue when it is safe, appropriate, and aligned with the agreed scope of support.
What if I need urgent help?
For medical questions, changing or uncontrolled symptoms, urgent concerns, or emergencies, contact your healthcare team, 911, or the appropriate emergency service.
Hope & Strength Coaching is not an emergency or crisis service.
You deserve support that sees the whole person — not just the diagnosis.
Take the first step with a private, compassionate conversation. You do not need to know which coaching journey you need before reaching out.
Prefer to Send a Message First?
Send a short note and Vineca can help you determine the best next step.
You don't have to go through this alone. I'm here to walk this journey with you.
