The short version
Hope & Strength Coaching provides education, encouragement, accountability and practical wellness support. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, prescribe medication, alter treatment plans, or replace care from your oncology, medical or mental health professionals.
Coaching works alongside your medical team — never instead of it.
No medical advice
Nothing provided by Hope & Strength Coaching — whether in a session, a workbook, an email, or on this website — is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Coaching does not include:
- diagnosing any condition or symptom;
- recommending, prescribing or adjusting medication or supplements;
- interpreting laboratory results, imaging, pathology or genetic testing;
- advising whether to accept, decline, delay or change any treatment;
- advising on surgical or oncological decisions;
- anything that would constitute the practice of medicine.
Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with any question about a medical condition or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something discussed in coaching or read on this website.
About Vineca’s clinical licence
Vineca Allen-Hodge is a licensed Radiation Therapist with a B.S. in Radiation Therapy and more than a decade of clinical experience in radiation oncology. That background informs how she coaches and helps her understand what clients are going through.
She does not act in a clinical or licensed capacity when providing coaching. Her clinical licence does not extend to the coaching relationship, and no part of coaching should be understood as radiation therapy services, clinical assessment, or professional medical opinion.
Not therapy or mental health treatment
Coaching focuses on present-day goals, routines, accountability, education and practical forward movement. It is not psychotherapy, counselling, or mental health treatment, and it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
If you are experiencing significant depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, substance use concerns, or thoughts of harming yourself, please work with a licensed mental health professional. Coaching may be a helpful complement to that care but is not a substitute for it.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the United States, or call 911. You can also reach the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741.
Wellness, movement and nutrition
Coaching may include general, non-clinical support around everyday habits — movement, hydration, rest, sleep, stress management and general nutrition habits — appropriate to your circumstances.
This is general wellness support, not medical nutrition therapy, not a prescribed exercise programme, and not dietetic advice. Cancer treatment can significantly affect what is safe for you. Speak with your oncology team, physician or registered dietitian before changing your diet, starting or changing exercise, or taking any supplement.
Emergencies and urgent symptoms
Hope & Strength Coaching is not an emergency or crisis service and is not monitored continuously.
For medical questions, new or changing symptoms, uncontrolled symptoms, side effects, or any urgent concern, contact your healthcare team immediately. In an emergency call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
No clinician–patient relationship
Using this website, submitting an enquiry, attending a consultation, or working with Hope & Strength Coaching does not create a physician–patient, therapist–client, or any other licensed clinician–patient relationship.
No guarantee of results
Coaching outcomes depend on many factors, including your circumstances, health, and level of participation. No particular result — medical, emotional, physical or otherwise — is promised or guaranteed.
Testimonials and stories
Any testimonials, quotes or stories shared on this website reflect individual experiences at a particular moment. They are shared with permission and are not a promise or indication that anyone else will have a similar experience.
Website and educational content
Information on this website and in coaching materials is general and educational. It is not tailored to your medical situation and should not be relied on as if it were. Content may be updated at any time and may not reflect the most current clinical guidance.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own health decisions and for the actions you choose to take. By using this website or working with Hope & Strength Coaching, you acknowledge that you understand the boundaries described here and that you will continue to rely on your licensed healthcare providers for medical and mental health care.
